WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS
Biological treatment
The biological treatment method is a proven technology that has been delivering satisfactory results for many years. Panta Rei is an ever-evolving company and so are our products. We are able to offer a wide range of biological treatment solutions. Our standard plant, the activated sludge treatment with suspended biomass, has some of the lowest running and maintenance costs while the effluent characteristics are able to meet the European and other international regulations.
The main objective of the biological treatment is the oxidation of the dissolved and particulate biodegradable constituents so that the polluting organic and inorganic compounds are removed or significantly reduced. The biological treatment process consists of several stages which are screening, primary sedimentation, feeding station, denitrification section (if necessary), aerobic treatment plant and final clarifier. Tertiary wastewater treatment and recovery processes can be implemented after this scheme.
In general, the actual water purification happens thanks to the bacterial metabolization; they process the organic substances internally, that is, they break the molecules into simpler compounds and generate carbon dioxide, water, gaseous nitrogen and, in less amount, other compounds depending on the inlet effluent characteristics.
