We are proud to help lead the transition toward a circular textile industry by developing cutting-edge water recovery technologies and partnering with key international stakeholders to reduce environmental impact on a global scale.
Panta Rei joins as leading character the SMEP (Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Pollution) Programme. established by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in partnership with UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), that aims to address the environmental and human health impacts of the manufacturing sector.
The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the World Bank’s 2030 Water Resources Group, Primark and H&M has inaugurated the pioneering wastewater recovery facility plant, specially designed and developed by Panta Rei, at a textile mill (Fakir Knitwear) in Dhaka. This demonstration site marks a significant milestone in promoting circular water management practices within textile sector.
Panta Rei joins the ZDHC “Roadmap to Zero” Program focused on the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, which are considered a priority regarding the textile industry activities. The ZDHC Programme is creating a new standard in wastewater discharge that goes beyond regulatory compliance to ensure wastewater discharge does not adversely affect the environment and surrounding communities.
