As a matter of fact, Panta Rei has an active role in the program as Accredited Training Provider which uses its skills and experience gained in this specific sector in order to strengthen the common goal of moving forward towards the zero discharge of hazardous chemicals that might be involved in the process water as well as the recovery of the treated wastewater from the textile industry in order to protect the consumers, the workers and the environment.

WASTEWATER QUALITY
The ZDHC Programme is creating a new standard in wastewater discharge that goes beyond regulatory compliance to ensure wastewater discharge does not adversely affect the environment and surrounding communities.
Water efficiency is a critical aspect of sustainable and environmentally-conscious manufacturing. While there have been efforts to create regulations by individual governments, brands and even multi-brand consortia, there still exists no single industry-standard guideline that covers all discharge criteria.
The textile industry is the second most polluting industry in the world, preceded only by the oil and gas sector. Therefore, the formation of an association by leading players in this field, in order to ensure a sustainable growth, is of paramount importance. The answer to that necessity has been provided by the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme, whose guidelines in terms of wastewater quality are enforced through the implementation of the treatment plants supplied by Panta Rei Srl – Water Solutions.

"ZDHC Regional Conference" in Dhaka (Bangladesh)
On 12 February 2020, Panta Rei was on the stage of Road Map to Zero - Regional Conference 2020, the Grand Conference with the theme "Leading Transformation Through Sustainable Chemical Management".
At Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, Eng. Manuel Romero has been the keynote speaker who present to the audience the latest wastewater technologies.

"Concrete Sustainability" Conference in Vicenza (Italy)
On October 22, 2021, "Fabbrica Saccardo" (textile factory founded in 1920) was the ideal set to confirm the importance of sustainability for Textile-Clothing sector companies. The hosts, Panta Rei Water Solutions and Ritex Ecochem, provide water management and operational tools. The extraordinary participation of ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme with Southern Europe Director Elisa Gavazza has further enriched the event.
A wish for an impetus towards the future was addressed to all the participants and to the companies in the Textile/Clothing sector to ensure that they can face the upcoming challenge with preparation and awareness the coming challenges in the near future regarding the issues of Sustainability for companies in the fashion supply chain.
The meeting was an excellent meeting opportunity not only between companies and ZDHC, but also among the companies themselves to network in the sharing of best practices and operational tools useful to achieve the objectives for a sustainable chemistry throughout the industry.

ZDHC academy is present in more than 22 countries, celebrates dozens of training sessions per year and has more than 20 companies as approved training providers worldwide (Panta Rei being one of them).
